Montgomery County 4-H Fair to be held
August 7 to August 9, 2008
at the 4-H Center, Creamery, PA

August 7, 7 PM to 9:30 PM—August 8, 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM—August 9, 9:30 AM to 4 PM

The 2008 4-H Fair Baking Contest theme is
“Death By Chocolate”

The Baking Contest is being held Friday August 8th, and is open to all residents of Montgomery County
Judging to begin at 7:00 pm - All entries must be submitted by 6:00 pm.
The theme of this year's Baking Contest is, "Death By Chocolate".
There are three main categories: Cake, Pie and Other. Recipes MUST include chocolate.
Individual entrants will be judged according to age. Those categories are:
Youth ages 8-12, Youth ages 13-18, Adults ages 19 and older.
Entries of 2 or more participants will be judged as a group regardless of age.
Entries must be accompanied by the following:
Recipe on a 3x5 card, name/s (and age/s if under 18) of the baker/s.
Be sure to follow all Food Safety Guidelines found at www.fightbac.org

Please consider entering in the 2008 Fair! Our Open Classes are for all Montgomery County residents. It is a great way to showcase your talents! There were classes added for the 2008 Fair - be sure to check out the listings. (click here for our 2008 Open Class Requirements)

Mobile Ag Lab Mobile Ag Lab
Our popular Mobile Agriculture Lab, sponsored by the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and maintained by the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau and Friends of PA Agriculture Foundation provided hands on educational exhibits during the 2007 4-H Fair.
 
The Pet Show continues to be one of our most popular events during the Fair and the 2007 Pet Show was no exception. The Pet Costume class always draws quite a crowd!

  Sam the Wonder Dog is a certified Therapy Dog and a frequent visitor in the 4-H office with her human Tom.
